  • Anise: What was that mushroom's name again?
  • Asch: ...Rugnican death cap.
  • Anise: That sounds pretty poisonous to me...
  • Asch: No, the poisonous one is the Great Rugnican death cap.
  • Natalia: I-is there any difference?
  • Asch: The poison.
  • Guy: Yeah, well, we already know that.
  • Asch: Then don't ask.

Day 4 - Favorite Non-Hero Male Character

Guy Cecil [or Gailardia Galan Gardios](Tales of the Abyss)

I almost put Leon here but instead chose Guy for 100 more reasons than I thought for Mister Jail Bait. I remember laughing out loud when he made his second appearance, he has lots of charm and when he expresses his gynophobia, his quirks seem cute(but kinda depressing when we find out why). He’s a geek too, for fontech anyway, and seeing him obsess and dote over it is adorable.

But what I love most about Guy is how loyal of a friend he is. When Luke essentially screws up and makes a mistake, everyone basically abandoned him. But even during this time we know Guy still cares for his friend despite all this and is of the first to understand and forgive him. He leaves behind Asch the ‘real’ Luke to go back to the Luke he considers his friend. That moment in the game moved me, and I would kill to have a friend just like him.

(Not to mention some of my first RPs included Guy and Luke)

TRYING TO DISTRACT MYSELF, and I wanted to do a challenge.

Day 1 - Favorite Tales game

I completely and utterly love these two games, Tales of Vesperia and Tales of the Abyss but if I had to choose I would say TotA. It was my first Tales game. My friends at school were raving over Tales of Symphonia and I felt sad since I didn’t have a gamecube so I tried to 1up them by getting a Tales Game too, which was Tales of the Abyss.

Honestly I like ToV’s characters a little better, their base personalities were cute and interesting. But TotA went all out in implementing its story to spotlight each character’s development. So definitely Tales of the Abyss although Vesperia is a very close second in my heart.
